AT Taqueria La Mexicana restaurants are family owned and operated. Originally from San Jose de Gracia, Jalisco, Mexico, the Melendez family initially arrived in Morgan Hill, CA but decided that Tracy would be the ideal city to open up their first business. They believed that with hard work, dedication and authentic family recipes, a taqueria would a great business. Taqueria La Mexicana was established in 1994, and was one of the first taquerias to open in Tracy.
